Transparency rules – act now or face action – is the message from the SRA today!
It looks like the SRA’s patience for firms not complying with the transparency code has expired and this update gives direction to get this right, with a clear and stern warning to do it now. Unfortunately, it is not as straightforward as it seems and can be time-consuming.
The SRA are committed to tackling firms that are not compliant and are promising to review thousands of firms over the coming week. Do not allow your firm to be one of those caught out!
The real issue here is not just failure to comply with the transparency rules but if your firm cannot get this right, it may raise questions on what else in the firm is non-compliant?
